Course DescriptioN
The 25K course is a fast, scenic tour of Antelope Island’s north end — a perfect blend of runnable dirt roads, smooth singletrack, and expansive lake views that make every mile memorable.
The race begins at the marina, where runners head up the road for about a quarter mile before joining the Mountain View Trail. After roughly one mile, the 25K and 50K courses split from the longer distances, turning right for a short climb alongside the fence line. This dirt road rolls gently toward the White Rock Bay trailhead — your first aid station at mile 2.8.
From White Rock Bay, you’ll follow the same route as the longer courses out to the Elephant Head aid station at mile 8.3. The trail winds through wide-open desert terrain with sweeping views of the Great Salt Lake, its shoreline glimmering below as you approach the turnaround point.
After refueling at Elephant Head, you’ll retrace your steps back to White Rock Bay aid, then follow the dirt road along the fence downhill to reconnect with the Mountain View Trail. A left turn points you north toward the marina, where a smooth, gradual descent carries you to the finish line.
The total distance measures approximately 26.4 kilometers (16.4 miles) — a fast, flowing course that delivers the full Antelope Island experience in a single loop.
