Course DescriptioN
The 50-mile course showcases the best of Antelope Island’s wild beauty — sweeping lake views, rolling desert singletrack, and the occasional bison sighting to keep you on your toes.
The race begins at the marina on the island’s north end. From there, you’ll head south for roughly 11.5 miles along the Mountain View Trail, an open, gently rolling stretch with the Great Salt Lake glittering to your side and the Wasatch Range rising in the distance. Your first major stop is the Ranch aid station, tucked near the southern tip of the island.
After re-fueling there, you’ll turn around and run back north for approximately 10.5 miles on the Mountain View Trail to the fence line junction. Here, you’ll turn left and make a short, punchy climb up the hill, following the dirt road as it parallels the fence. The road curves right and drops you onto a brief paved section before transitioning back to dirt on the Lakeside Trail, which carries you toward the Bridger Bay Campground aid station.
Leaving Bridger Bay, you’ll continue around the Lakeside Trail for another 3.5 miles, tracing the shoreline’s gentle bends and soaking in panoramic views of the lake. The trail eventually merges onto a dirt road leading to the White Rock Bay trailhead — a popular spot for spectators and wildlife sightings. From there, you’ll complete a 5.5 mile section to the Elephant Head aid station, complete a 2.9 mile out-and-back on the rugged Elephant Head Trail, and then continue around the Split Rock Loop for 5.2 miles before returning to Elephant Head aid once more.
From there, you’ll start to retrace your steps back over 5.2 miles to White Rock Bay, staying left on the White Rock Loop en route back to Bridger Bay and then following the fence line for 1.5 miles until it reconnects with the Mountain View Trail. A final left turn points you north toward the marina, where a fast, rolling finish delivers you back to the start line — and the finish of your 50-mile journey around one of Utah’s most iconic landscapes.
